My Year in Grade 5 was really really fun, and interesting I worked hard to read more often, get better at writing and, improve my math.At the beginning of the year I, was not a big fan of reading, but now I really reading books.
and now, I really enjoy reading books especially fantasy which is my favorite genre.
In writing I enjoyed, informational writing the most, as well as fantasy and my persuasive essay.
I thought, that you can create your own fantasy books, by using all of your creativity and imagination,
was very fun, and gathering loads of facts and evidence for your informational writing and persuasive can take lots of time and effort, but in the same time, it was very interesting to come up with a conclusion which was the most exiting bit. Because I enjoyed writing so much, it made me more devoted to write more stuff!
In Reading I enjoyed fantasy the most, and following fantasy, I really enjoyed reading informational writing, to see so much interesting stuff, and very weird animals and other strange species and inventions. I thought that realistic fiction was a little bit boring, because it was kind of relative to everyone's life, so there wasn't really much to enjoy about because it happened so often.
This was my second year doing Eureka Math. I thought math was fun, but there was some units and lessons that were a little tricky. Because, they were either too confusing,or hard to keep track. I enjoyed geometry, multiplication, division, and subtraction, and I really enjoyed the fractions unit.
I thought that science was challenging for me because I didn't really understand it that much. I learned about the ecosystems, and we had a raft project depending on what topic we wanted. Me and my partner picked oil spills. I know I am really good at reading, but when it comes to map reading test, I'm really not.
And I know I need more practice on math because it is not my best subject.
I thought Science was challenging because I didn't really get what we were supposed to do sometimes and honestly it was a bit boring. I really enjoyed all projects so far because we all cooperated together in a way and me and my partner had lots of teamwork.
CORE Values. This was my second year learning about the year the Core Values. I think that the most important Core Value to me is perseverance, because you always have to keep trying no matter what happens and never give up!
In Grade 5 I think the most challenging thing we did of all was map tests, because they were really long and stressful.
In Grade 5 I think the most enjoyable thing we did of all was field trips, because we got to see Egypt's beautiful nature, and things that happened from so long ago.
This year I am most proud of me for becoming a math Olympiad person, because last year when it was my first year in CAC, I was not really good at math at all, and I was not proud of myself at all, but I made a goal that I wanted to be better, and then I did.
When I think about Middle School I feel very exited. I know I must work very hard and I will be very mature and responsible. I’m most looking forward to have more freedom. I think one challenge might be, is presentations, projects and assessments, but I will try my absolute hardest to achieve what I want.

What are your goals for middle school? Be the best student I could possibly be!
